You can always go back to the factory settings if your Linksys Velop is giving you trouble. This blog post will guide you through the simple steps of resetting your Linksys Velop Mesh router.
Resetting your router results in losing all your customised settings, such as WiFi name, password, and security type.
Additional locations that will be erased include the time zone, language preferences, connected devices, device admin credentials, network SSID and password, and more. This article contains instructions for resetting your Linksys Velop mesh router to its factory default settings.
There are two ways to reset your router. Choose one of the options below to learn how to do it:
1. Reset manually
2. Software Reset
Use the Linksys app to control and configure your Linksys velop Mesh Router. Follow the instructions below to use LinksysSmartWiFi.com to establish a connection with the Linksys mesh router. Ensure your device is linked to the router's network before logging in.
Note: The IP address by default is 192.168.1.1. You can also find your router's IP address with the Linksys app. Click Dashboard > Menu > Network Administration to finish.
Additional options include:
A recovery key with five digits is required. The product label on the router contains this key code. The next step will need you to enter your router's new admin password and hint. A prompt will appear if you still need to update your router password through the Linksys app.
